Audiovisual journalism

Hello! This week in my blog I will tell you about my favorite subject in the university: Realización Periodística Audiovisual

The name is my teacher is Hans Mulchi and is an important documentary and journalist of the Universidad Católica de Chile. In this subject we prepare to make contents for television.

In the course, I learned to record, edit and produce audiovisual content. In the subject we use the equipment (cameras, sound instruments, lights, etc.) that the university provides.

One of my best jobs in the course is an interview with a filmmaker named Emilio Díaz. The evaluation in that work was very positive.

Currently, I am doing an audiovisual reportage of food waste. The process is hard, but it will be a great job.

I like this subject very much because the creativity is very important to in this work. Also, I like to use the cameras and learn new audiovisual techniques. Since child I always wanted to work on television as a presenter, but this year I discovered that I want to work behind of cameras, doing the content that the public will see.

Greetings. See you son.

Musical rodents

In this blog I will tell you about my favorite website: larata.cl

This website is better known as "Rata". This was his original name, but his name change to "La Rata" because they had problems with the online domain. This website speak and cover Chilean music. Its contents are interviews with national musicians, news about new music, concert reviews and photographs of musical events.

On the page "Rat" there are contests to win tickets to musical show and concerts. I would very much like to win one of the tickets. The media also has a Facebook page where they share the content of the website. "Rata" also shares memes and news from other pages dedicated to music.

Another important thing about "Rat": the people that work there are very nice and have a lot of knowledge about music. Some of my friends collaborate writing notes for the website.

Enter to larata.cl and listen to chilean Music, because is of very good. There are many new bands, you know.

Loica in a photo

My favorite picture is this:

This photograph is part of a photoreportage that I realized during this year and that talks about the conditions of life of the people who live in Loica, my place of birth and growth. In this photograph it is possible to see the landscape of the place. The mountains look very green and the sky very clean. On the left side of the picture, shows my father and my mother, my favorite persons in Loica. They are the people I love the most in the world and they make that little town a better place.

This photo does not have a very difficult technique and is a very simple photo, but it is a very important image. Photography is capable of causing very nice feelings and memories.

I love Alex

If the world won you, in the corner I wait…

Hi Everyone! Today, I would like to talk about my favourite Singer. He is Alex Anwandter. He is a chilean singer and songwriter  that begins to be recognized when he formed the band Teleradio Donoso in 2005, in which he was vocalist. With this band, Alex published two albums: “Gran Santiago” (2007) and “Bailar o Llorar” (2008), which that begins to be more famous in the chilean music scene. However, at 2010 the band was disolved, and Alex begins a solist carrear.
In this part of his life, Alex published other three albums: Odisea (2010), Rebeldes (2011) and Amiga (2016), and one álbum in colaboration with Gepe that was called “Alex & Daniel” (2013).
I love a lot the songs of Alex, because it mix of a good way strong and beautiful lyrics whit a perfect composition and musicalization. My favourite song is called “Shanana”, because it was a song that incited me to be more  brave with my feelings.

I hope that you can to listen this amazing chilean singer too, long live to chilean music!

My friend: the computer

The computer is my favourite piece of technology ever. It is one of the most important tools in my develop as a journalist student too. In the PC, I can find information, chat with my friends and contact with my classmates if we have to do tasks. I really couldn’t live without a computer.
Also, with my computer I can to make a lot of activities for my classes, like edits videos and photos, write scripts and reports, and write my english blog every week.

The people say that a cell phone is most convenient device, because it is smaller than a PC, but for me, the computer is better than the cell phone, because I can to do more activities in less time.

It’s all for today, thanks for Reading!

Regards!

Also, during secondary wrote in a magazine with other classmates. I wrote tales and stories. I participated in literary competitions and won some competitions.

But, I never thought studying journalism. I liked the work of journalists but not thought possible enter the university. When I took the PSU, my score was surprise and I enter to the Instituto de la Comunicación e Imagen of the Universidad de Chile to study Journalism. Since that day, I am very happy and I do not regret my decision.
